Ian was educated at King's Worcester and Durham University. He qualified with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now PWC) in Birmingham.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Member of the Institute of Directors.

Ian is a partner and the Chairman of Rabjohns LLP, he is the Client Director on some of our largest clients and has wide experience in business advisory work. As one of the main architects and a driver behind Rabjohns' own business plan, he has hands-on experience of managing a business through change. Ian has advised on several major corporate M & A transactions, he also has experience in acting as Non Executive Chairman of SME's.

Ian is married with two adult children and lives on a small farm in the Teme Valley. His outside interests include golf, rugby, woodlands and sports cars. He played rugby for Worcester for a number of years and had the dubious pleasure of playing for the Midlands against Australia (including all three Ella brothers) as a schoolboy at Welford Road. Ian holds a number of external positions; he is the Deputy Chairman of the South Worcestershire Area Board of Young Enterprise, sits on the Business Advisory Board of the University of Worcester Business School, is a trustee of the King's School Worcester Development Trust, is on the committee for the local branch of the IOD, is a Worcestershire Ambassador and is on the Board of Kreston UK.
