Hereford and Worcester Young Directors Forum Launch Event

On Thursday 5 November, the Hereford and Worcester Young Directors Forum (H & W YDF) had its launch event at Worcester Rugby Club. Ally McLaughlin Rabjohns' Accounts Manager has been involved in the committee setting up the new venture.

This new venture combines the IOD and The Chamber of Commerce in providing networking and developmental events for the future directors and business leaders in the area.

Mclaughlin commented "The concept of the forum is to attract the aspiring next generation of business leaders who are keen to develop and grow their own business network, developing professional contacts and skills along the way. By involving a diverse range of businesses and professionals, the group aims to offer opportunities for the future leaders from within all industries."

The launch was very kindly hosted by Worcester Rugby Club and the 35 attendees were treated to some great hospitality in some wonderful surroundings. Kathy Leather, the Commercial Director at Worcester Warriors and Worcestershire Women of the Year, then spoke to the group about her career with some fascinating stories of the highs and lows involved in professional rugby from a commercial viewpoint.

A chance for further networking followed with the evening concluding with free entry into the WRFC Comedy Club for the final wind down to a very successful launch and a great opportunity for those involved.
