UK Kreston Technology Group Supports new LIFE
Rabjohns LLP and James Cowper LLP, both members of Kreston Technology UK, are supporting the development of cutting edge vehicle technology with the development of the Morgan LIFEcar.
The Morgan LIFEcar (Lightweight Fuel Efficient Car) is a fuel cell-powered electric vehicle that is environmentally responsible whilst delivering impressive performance.
Worcester-based Rabjohns LLP has acted on behalf of the Morgan Motor Company for 6 years undertaking all of their compliance work. The relationship between the two goes from strength to strength. Tim Whitworth, Financial Director to Morgan regularly calls on Rabjohns for specialist taxation work including Research and Development Tax credit advice, VAT expertise and company secretarial work. Ian Smith, Partner, is also called upon for more general business work. 'Rabjohns understands the Morgan Motor Company in a way that the big firms don't, says Whitworth, 'Ian drives one as well!'
Rabjohns have been heavily involved in the Morgan Centenary celebrations during 2009.
Oxford-based James Cowper has recently won the tender to advise Oxford University spin-out company Oxford Yasa Motors. The company has been set up to commercialise lightweight electric motors which were originally devised for the Morgan LIFEcar in 2008.

There are real opportunities to using this technology in Aerospace, renewable energy and other industrial sectors, where improved power to weight ratios will deliver significant commercial advantage.
